There’s a little bit of history behind one of Tuesday’s Region 4 semifinal games. This will be the fourth time this season that Dunseith and St. John face each other. St. John is 3-0 against the Dragons this season with its last win coming in the District 8 tournament. The final game of the 2019-20 Class B girls basketball season takes place tonight with No. 2-seed Grafton taking on No. 1-seed Langdon Area-Edmore-Munich for the championship. The Cardinals feature two student-athletes in senior Callie Ronningen and sophomore Morgan Freije who have combined for 67 of L-E-M’s 118 points in the tournament. Eight North Dakota towns close up shop and there’s not a soul to be seen. The support people show for this state tournament is tremendous.
